Design a Better Banner

Are you looking for a new wave of customers, wanting to advertise a special event or hoping to pull the gaze of the crowd from their smartphones to your booth? You need a standout banner.
Things to consider when designing your banner include size, style, message, color and imagery.
The size of your banner will depend on how far away your potential customers are. The farther you anticipate they’ll be when they first spot your banner, the larger it will need to be. Base your decision on distance from the customer and location (be sure your banner will fit the space).
When considering the style of your banner, remember to keep it simple. Don’t mix too many fonts and keep the background plain, which makes the text easier to read.
Think carefully about the message on your banner. You’ll want it to be clear, easy-to-understand, and get right to the point. Consider your audience (customers) when you choose the wording—what are they looking for? What do they need? Why would they choose your store or booth over others nearby? The shorter the message the better; just be sure that the message isn’t so short that it no longer makes sense.
The same holds true when it comes to color and imagery: less is more. With color, be sure to reference a color wheel (or common sense) to pair colors that work together. Imagery can be very powerful in delivering a message, if you can find the right image and don’t overdo it.
Don’t forget to include a call to action: something that tells customers what you want them to do. It won’t be enough to list your company name and the fact that you’re having a sale if you don’t encourage customers to come to your store, check the web site or call to make an appointment.
If your banner design doesn’t turn out the way you had hoped, bring your ideas to us. We’ll help you work out the kinks and get the banner that will bring in the customers. If it turns out you're a banner designing whiz, bring your masterpiece in and our printers will make sure it looks as good in person as it does on the screen.
